My backpack was stolen on Wednesday. As I try to replace things, the total monetary loss plays out as follows

Looking for the positive in things, they didn't take my ID, notes, textbook, hackysack, or dirty socks.

Losing my backpack was an odd feeling. I shouldn't go as far as to say I was furious, nor even angry, at whoever took my life, for I was not. Ultimately, it was very much my fault for not securing my belongings as well as I should have. Nor do I have any right to assert despair among my reactions, although I suppose it was certainly present.
Feelings mean so little, for it was neither anger nor sadness, but that feeling of having your still beating heart ripped from your chest and ground into the locker room floor.
Strong words for a mere backpack, but I use them in testament to my utter patheticness.
As one of my more practical friends pointed out, I did in fact lose a great portion of my being - an entire thirty pounds of it.

But you see, all this has a point - and that point is not that I'm treating the DeviantJournal feature as a blog.

The point is to appologize once again to Zoi for not having the next chapter up (but it will hopefully magically appear by Sunday).
